The magical of warmth and peacefulness emanating from cuddling a little puppy never fails to charm any animal lover. A puppy melts the hearts and softens the wallets as adults who swear they don't need a dog end up with a puppy before they can say, ‘Why did I agree to that'? 

To care for a young puppy brings a lot of warm feelings to anyone especially when they realize how much they are needed and wanted by the tiny little creature.  With a puppy, it gives you a chance to train the dog from an early age to fit your environment and lifestyle.

 You can educate your children on how to be gentle to the puppy.  Your children will cherish the memory of growing up with a young dog. You will also be able to take it for walks in and around the vicinity of your home. Puppies have the strong desire to chew on things so be sure to give them suitable bite to bite on rather than leaving your designer shoes at the doorstep.

This precious puppy needs you more in the early months and you will have to allot time for that. Often the due care and attention that the puppy needs are lacking at an adoption shelter. Different breeds of puppies have different characteristics and prefer different environments to get easily adjusted to so take note of this and act accordingly. Avoid buying a puppy that will outgrow your living space when it is fully grown. You can always visit the dog and take them for a walk before making up your mind. 

To help you plan for the future, it would be useful to know how the dog will look like when fully grown. An older dog will also love your home. Get to know its breeding habits and you will find it easier to cope.

You need to know all there is to know about the puppy or dog you intend to purchase. What puppies like and dislike are not the same as that for older dogs. You can easily spend a lot of money on a young puppy. For breeding purposes, get a puppy or dog with papers.
